Stop Letting Negative Stuff Take Away Your Personal Power

I want to share some words of inspiration from one of my favorite authors and teachers, Louise Hay and I hope this brightens your day!

In this busy times we live in, it can be easy to let things throw you off track or have a negative impact on your day. Perhaps it’s an unpleasant situation or something with your work that’s frustrating you. Or maybe even some kind of issue with someone in your life that’s challenging you.

Let’s face it, we live in a world filled with negative messages everywhere we turn. And it’s hard to escape what’s unfolding around us in the world of media, politics, environment, finances, social justice and more.

The only thing consistent is life is consistent change.

But when things happen that make you feel any kind of negative emotion, whether sadness, fear, jealousy or anger, it’s important to always take a step back and reevaluate.

Ultimately, the only thing you can control is how you respond to a situation and the extent to which you allow it to affect you. There is no one else in your mind except you, and you have control over the thoughts you choose to think.

And I’m not saying that you just think happy thoughts or say positive affirmations and magically all of your problems go away. Sometimes it’s normal to be angry, sad, worried and such, it’s part of being human.

But, when you keep focusing only on these negative emotions it becomes like an emotional crock pot that keeps stewing all of the same stuff over and over, which only keeps you feeling bad.

Ultimately, no one or no experience can make you feel bad unless you continue to allow it to. No one else lives in your mind but you.

So the first step to resolving a situation or to feeling better, is to change what you’re thinking about. Thoughts of anger or worry or doubt only create more of that same energy and won’t help you be able to create an effective solution.

It doesn’t mean you accept bad things or act as if it’s OK. Rather, you approach it proactively and from a place of empowerment. When you empower yourself, you are able to empower those around you through your example.

And, after you change your focus to solutions and action, it’s much easier to take action to get back on track or resolve a challenge. You’ll be motivated to do what you need to do to get back into your own happy and prosperous flow.

I’m not saying it’s always easy, I know sometimes life throws you curve balls, some big and some small. But when you get past the challenge and learn from it you’ll be a much more enlightened person and better for it.

So, the next time something goes “wrong” in your day remember to stop, take a breath and then proactively respond. See it for what it is, and don’t let any negative energy or negative people take you out of your own personal power.

This takes so much less energy than staying upset or in reaction mode. 🙂

Staying Inspired During Difficult Times

It’s Robert here, writing to share some thoughts to inspire you to embrace your life and the world in even more positive ways.

As you know, there’s a lot going on in the world right now and so much transition for so many people. There’s political strife and change, health concerns, economic issues, environmental concerns, and it’s affecting so many people around the world.

I actually don’t watch the news because it’s often so biased and negative.

But there’s something you must keep in mind. Even when things around you are not how you’d like them to be, you have power over two things:
 

1. What you think and talk about
2. How focused you are on the present moment
 

Sometimes it can be challenging, though, since many people (and the mass media) often talk about problems and fear and negativity.

But YOU are not like most people, you’re a health and wellness entrepreneur who understands and who cares about other people and stands up for what they believe in.

So it’s important to move away from the programmed fear thinking so prevalent out there, and into an optimistic mindset and outlook.

And start to recognize how your thoughts, beliefs and habits affect your happiness, success, and what you accomplish in your business and life.

So, take time each day to become what I call a “conscious observer” of your thoughts.

Do you focus on the good you already have, on what you want to manifest and the goals you’d like to achieve?

Or do you dwell in what’s not working and the problems you have, or problems in the world?

And I’m not suggesting that you only have to think happy thoughts, pray or meditate and good things will magically unfold. You also have to take action to make the goals a reality and seek out support to help you get there.

We all face challenging situations, it’s part of being human. But if you spend more time worrying about problems instead of solutions, you’ll not grow as quickly nor feel as good.

So be honest and notice you’re thinking about. If any worry or fear comes up just simply catch yourself thinking in that pattern, and turn it around.

Ask yourself, “What can I focus on now to help me reach this goal (overcome this challenge, create the success I want) so I can be happy and prosperous?”

There are an infinite number of thoughts you can think and you are the only one in control of which ones you choose.

I believe that we all deserve to feel good and have love in our lives, and the first step is to take a look in the mirror and consider how you can create more love and compassion in your own mind.

And as you do this, one day at a time, you’ll see so many more possibilities open up for you. You’ll also ATTRACT different people and situations into your life, as you change your energy and vibration.

What you put out is a magnet and it draws back the people places and experiences that are of similar energy. 🙂

End Your Bad Business Habits

I’m sharing something really important about your success and in a way you’ve likely not heard before.

Now, here’s something to ponder.  Frequently, I notice entrepreneurs are often running in what I call “habit mode.”  They’re doing a lot of the same things (or not doing much) when it comes to finding clients.

In essence, they have a set of behaviors and beliefs that have become so familiar to them, it dictates actions habitually (often unconsciously).

You may find yourself in a cycle of procrastination, comparing yourself, undercharging, being inconsistent etc.  Or you may do a lot, but you’re unfocused with no clear strategy and systems to reach your goals.

First, I wanted to give you a little assignment. I created a bonus handout for you called “Upgrade Your Success Mindset” which you can download by clicking the image below:

When entrepreneurs approach their business, they often (even unconsciously) take the same steps and do what feels “comfortable.” But if you repeat the same things over and over nothing changes, right?

As you see in the diagram, what you think influences your decisions and actions, so then you get the same experiences AND the same results.

What if you stop telling yourself, “I can’t call this referral partner, what do I have to offer?” or, “I tried this already and there are too many coaches, it’s not going to work.”

And you then decide (see the right side of the diagram) to think a new thought, which influences better decisions and actions. You’re going to feel better and have more motivation to take action and get much better results.
 

Here’s your assignment:

  1. Notice what you think about related to success and your business.
  2. Simply be aware of the thoughts and beliefs you tell yourself, without judgement.
  3. Next, make the connection how what you think affects your actions, and how this makes you feel.
  4. Decide to turn your focus away from the negative beliefs and thoughts, and then ponder, “Hmm, what can I tell myself NOW that will have a more positive impact on my motivation and mood?”
  5. Keep those new positive thoughts in your mind, then notice in what good ways this affects the actions you’re ready to take and how you feel.

This is the first and next step to get better results and more clients and income in your business. It’s not about changing your marketing plan unless your mind is first on board.

6 Quick Ways To Book 5 New Clients This Month

marketing-blvd-postSo often, I see entrepreneurs sabotaging their income because they’re not consistent in their marketing. Which leads to less clients and a lot of stress. Then they slip into worry mode and either take no action OR take the wrong actions, which only stalls their biz growth.

If you’re not in front of your ideal clients on a regular basis you won’t expand your practice. It’s all about providing VALUE so you build trust with them.

So what’s the solution to get your next 5 clients?

First, you need to make a mindset shift and DECIDE to stop focusing on the worry, and instead focus on the GOAL. Whatever you put your attention on is what you create more of (Universal law). Then take some steps to create a steady stream of clients flowing so your income grows and you have money left over for you! Here’s some of my favorite ways to do so:

Tip # 1: Offer A Breakthrough Session To Your Contact List
Create an email that shares the benefits of having a free initial consultation with you, give them a time frame in which they can contact you to schedule it (1 to 1.5 weeks) and then SEND the email.

People love to be heard, so why not invite them to talk with you? And during the conversation, you can enroll them into your programs. It will only take you 15 – 20 minutes to send the email and is so worth the time!

Tip #2: Ask Your Clients For A Referral
If you love your clients and they love you, why not ask them if they know anyone who they think could benefit from your work?

Make it easy for them, draft an email they can send to their contacts on your behalf. Keep it short and caring, and then ask them to send it to anyone they think would be a great fit for working with you.

Tip #3: Reconnect With Past Leads
Who have you connected with in the past 3-6 months who had considered working with you? Simply pick up the phone, call them, and see how they’re doing.

Ask them what their goals are, where they feel challenged, and say that you’d love to help by supporting them in one of your programs. This shows how much you care, and they’ll be happy to hear from you.

Tip # 4: Connect With A Referral Partner
Who do you know now or could get to know, who ALREADY has a connection to your ideal clients? Sit down and make a list of everyone you know now, then pick 1 – 2 to reach out to this week.

Your goal is to have a conversation with them to get to know each other better, and see how you could “be of support.” Which could lead to booking a talk, writing an article, and getting referrals.

Tip #5: Host A Simple In-Person Get Together
Invite some of your contacts and prospects to spend a couple of hours with you one afternoon. Get them excited about your work by talking with them about the problems they’re facing, and how you can help. Be sure to ask your guests to bring someone with them, and you’ll soon have a full room of potential clients.

Tip #6: Stop Hiding Out At Home
It’s great to work from home, but growing your business is all about creating connections. People need to get to know YOU. Make it a priority to attend a few local events or networking meetings, with the goal of booking a few initial consultations.

Most entrepreneurs often feel overwhelmed when they think about how much they think they need to do to take their biz to the next level. 
Especially for those who are more sensitive, and keep a lot of stuff in their heads and “over think” things.
I’m here to tell you…sigh of relief.. you actually don’t need a longer to-do list.

The solution is a prioritized list of what you should focus on NOW to get the income and results you want.
First, I want to point out something. If you are hiding out at home, trying to perfect your website, or newsletter, or the perfect color logo on your brochures, you’re unconsciously sabotaging your biz.

Because unless you have clients and a contact list to SEE your brochure, website, and newsletters, you’re not really making any progress. Success comes through taking action to put YOURSELF in front of your ideal clients, so they know how you can help them.

The only way to grow your business and yourself, is to get out of your comfort zone, and stop letting fears hold you back. The time is now, and no one is going to come knocking on your door unless you, step-by-step, become more visible. Yes, it can seem scary, but what’s the worst that can happen? : ) You have everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Here are 4 simple success essentials, showing you what to focus on now to create more income, less worry, and a bigger impact. Which of these is most important for you now?

Focus On Generating Income
When you can learn to turn potential clients into paying clients, everything changes. It’s about how to have conversations that let interested potential clients understand how YOUR programs can help them reach their goals.
Everyone wants to know “What’s In It For Me” and unless you communicate that and generate sales, you won’t have clients and without clients, you won’t have a business.
Even experienced entrepreneurs who already have multiple streams of income (programs, telecourses, audio products, events) still need to have these types of authentic sales conversations. Your income and profits are all about the PEOPLE you serve, and how you help them through your work. It’s all about building relationships.

Develop Your Core High End Program Offering
When you know what your ideal clients want, and turn that into a step-by-step program to help them achieve those results, you’ll have a highly successful business. Most holistic entrepreneurs, however, give people what they think they want, now always what they are looking for.
Take some time to outline exactly what you’ll provide, in your main program offering, to support your clients. What are their goals? What are their challenges? And what can you teach them, so they know EXACTLY what to do, incrementally, to look and feel better (and ultimately that’s all anyone is after). They want you to figure it out for them.

Plan Your Day And Stop Distracting Yourself
Here’s the deal, you are either planning your day and in control of your time, or your day is controlling you! Each day you work on your business, you should be focusing on connecting with potential clients and referral sources, or delivering services.
Unfortunately, it’s easy to get distracted by Facebook, that new recipe book, your friends blog… you name it. Or let your fears hold you back from actually taking action. The solution is easy: decide each day, ahead of time, exactly what you want to accomplish and exactly what you’ll do to achieve it.

I give my clients a 30 minutes per day marketing plan, which I call “30 Minutes To Thrive” that shows you exactly what to do, day by day, to grow your business and your income. So start to plan your day, so you have a business and not just an expensive hobby.

Focus On Growing Your List
The first goal of your marketing efforts is not to get “sales” it’s to get more of the RIGHT people in the door. Building your business is about building your list, meaning you have a plan in place to generate a steady stream of new contacts into your email system.
Then, you can build trust with them (newsletters, teleclasses, emails) and, over time, help them see that you are the solution to the problems they feel they have. The more someone trusts you, the more likely they are to invest in your services.

So, who do you know who already has a connection to your ideal clients that you can build a relationship with, so they “introduce” you to their list? Where are your ideal clients hanging out, in big numbers, where YOU can go and be seen? What is your “free giveaway” to get them in the door?

To live a life of freedom, making a big impact for others, you have to step it up, get support and let your light shine.

So, no more hiding out behind your computer at home! This is your moment to get busy focusing on what you must do, in order to fulfill your amazing vision and have the income and lifestyle you deserve!
